Change

We constantly face change. We hear or face change happening all around us. Whether it being rising prices in goods, a new birth in the family, deteriorating quality of air in the city, unpredictable rainstorms or earthquakes, relationships breaking up or new ones created and many more.

All changes are categorized to be either a positive or negative change. Like it or not, changes happen with every passing moment. As we grow older, we put on weight **Vijay quotes “Nature takes its course” to elaborate why we pile on the pounds rather easily as compared to our college days**. Our parents’ act like babies and our kids act like adults. Childhood dreams and present dreams are often not the same. Women prefer chocolates & massages than being with men these days. Men prefer beer and football or shagging a random hot babe they just met, rather than chasing dreams of being a successful businessman or a soccer star.

Do we really have control over change? A friend turning to drugs for stress relieve, a death about to take place as a car runs off the freeway to hit a person in front of you, a plane crashing into a building murdering hundreds, ozone layer thinning out to almost nothing, stock market crashing because of rioting of it’s citizens, laws preventing equal opportunities for all. All of which are classic examples of change happening daily in our world today.

The question now is, how do we engage change with regards to self, family, community and environment? Turning negative changes into positive outcomes with our intervention. Events like wars promoting non-natural deaths, famine through shortages of food supply, global warming caused by CO2.

Melting ice in Greenland

One of the Polluted rivers around the world.

There are changes we can intervene and produce results and some will have less impact. Another question is, how can we help? Do we want to help at all? Someone told me sometime back, it’s better to have contributed even a little, then never contributing at all. Sometimes, the smallest of stones, causes ripples that go far out.

We have wars because or religious, racial or political reasons. All these are waste of money as it can be used for food, clean water, shelter and medical supply. How do we resolve issues in the world? I suggest we divert our attention and work together to save planet earth together, and we dissolve all differences, disagreements and hate.

Hard facts, Rivers of cold water in ice lands like Greenland. Rivers?? Yes, rivers like water fall in our jungles. Temperatures around the world are increasing every year. Less oxygen every year, more polluted air, river and oceans. These among others suggest that we are doing something really wrong. And our future generations won’t be able to enjoy walking out in the open because it’s too hot, or breath clean air.

Is this the future we want for our kids?

Some Tips on how we can help:

Turn off lights and fan when not in use.

Avoid using air-conditioners whenever possible.

Avoid using non-degradable items like Polystyrene and plastic.

Use recyclables. And promote recycling of items at home, workplace and outdoors.

Consider the environment before printing.

Lastly, Please watch this documentary. It really got to me!
